The EMS SmartCell Wireless Dual Smoke & Heat Detector with Combined Sounder & White Flash Beacon is a professional-grade wireless fire detection device combining smoke detection, heat detection, an audible sounder and a visual alarm beacon in one compact unit.
The detector can be configured for smoke, heat or combined detection and incorporates 32 selectable sounder tones together with a Part 23 compliant white-flashing VAD beacon. It communicates wirelessly with the SmartCell control panel using bidirectional 868 MHz communication.
It is particularly useful where both audible and visual fire alarm notification is required, including residential buildings, HMOs and smaller commercial premises.
This is NOT a standalone smoke alarm.
The detector will not operate as an individual, standalone detector.
It must be installed, enrolled and programmed as part of an EMS SmartCell wireless fire alarm system and connected to a compatible SmartCell control panel.
The SmartCell panel controls and monitors the detector, while the detector provides the smoke/heat detection and local audible and visual alarm indication.
If you are purchasing this product, you must also have a SmartCell Wireless Fire Control Panel and the other devices required for your system design.
This is particularly important because a customer looking for a conventional standalone smoke alarm could otherwise purchase this product expecting it to work independently.

Professional SmartCell installation required.
The detector needs to be correctly positioned, enrolled and programmed into the SmartCell control panel as part of the overall fire alarm system. EMS states that SmartCell equipment should be installed by a fully trained and competent person in accordance with applicable installation requirements.
