Safe & Smart was created to bring together the technology and practical experience needed to make modern homes safer, more secure, more comfortable and more energy efficient.

We're based in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, and we're building Safe & Smart around something we believe is increasingly important: good technology is only useful when it's properly chosen, installed and understood.

We don't just sell products from a catalogue. We select products that we believe genuinely offer our customers something useful, and where professional installation is required, we can provide that too.

Meet Robert Meehan

Safe & Smart was founded by Robert Meehan, an experienced construction and home improvement professional with around 30 years of practical experience working with buildings, electrical systems, technology and home improvements.

Robert holds an MSc in Sustainable Engineering, as well as professional qualifications in fire alarm design and installation.

His experience has provided a strong understanding of how technology needs to work in the real world — not just on a specification sheet.

That experience is at the heart of Safe & Smart.

Whether we're recommending a smoke alarm, security camera, battery storage system, air conditioning system or portable power station, our approach is the same:

Choose good equipment. Install it properly. Make sure the customer understands how to use it.

A sister company to Climate Force Ltd

Safe & Smart is a sister company to Climate Force Ltd, an established and reputable solar PV and battery storage company based in Hertfordshire.

Climate Force has built its reputation through the design and installation of solar energy, battery storage and electrical systems for homes and businesses.

That experience gives Safe & Smart a particularly strong understanding of energy, electrical systems, battery technology and the way modern smart-home products integrate with the home.

We're able to bring that knowledge into a much wider range of home technology and safety products.

More than just an online shop

We want Safe & Smart to be different from a typical online retailer.

You can certainly buy products from us online, but if you need help choosing the right equipment, we're here to provide advice.

And if you'd rather have it installed for you, our professional installation service can take care of the setup, configuration and handover.

We currently provide professional installation across London and surrounding areas within an 80-mile radius of London.

For hardwired installations and more complex systems, we may carry out a survey first to make sure the proposed installation is safe and suitable for your property.

Safety comes first

Our background in construction, electrical systems, solar energy and fire safety means that safety is at the centre of what we do.

We're particularly passionate about helping people improve fire safety in their homes and businesses.

We offer everything from straightforward standalone smoke alarms through to professional wireless fire alarm systems, including EMS SmartCell.

Our aim isn't to sell you things you don't need. It's to identify sensible improvements and give you the information you need to make an informed decision.

Based in Cuffley — growing locally

Safe & Smart is proudly based in Cuffley, Hertfordshire.

We're currently developing the business with the aim of opening a Safe & Smart showroom, where customers will eventually be able to see products, discuss their requirements and get practical advice in person.

We're building the business carefully and locally, with a focus on knowledge, quality products, professional installation and good old-fashioned customer service.
